2010 News and Show Results

What a great way for us to start the new 2010 Show Season! At the recent and most prestigious alpaca show of the year, the April 2010 Canadian National Alpaca Futurity, we entered the show with 10 Ring Ranch entries and all 10 earned themselves significant cash awards and top ribbon placements including Black Champion, three 1st Place Wins, three 2nd Place Wins, two 5th and two 6th Place finishes. We were absolutely thrilled to say the least with our impressive showing. Our two new young studs Paheko and Buckshot certainly proved themselves with their 2009 offspring earning 6 of these top juvenile placements.

Here are the results;

Ring Ranch Alpacas is absolutely delighted to welcome these awesome new alpacas to our family.

    Neville Lake's Mekayla

This absolutely beautiful junior black female is undefeated in the show ring winning 3 consecutive 1 st Place ribbons in her first season of showing as well as Grand Champion Dark/Black Huacaya honors at the Canadian National Alpaca Sale and Futurity 2008 and Reserve Color Champion at the 2008 Keystone Alpaca Classic. Mekayla is a Messiah Alyst daughter and a Turk grand daughter. Bred to the nines, with such a stunning pedigree behind her including Victor's Vaccoyo, NGG Lionel, Bueno, Ivano, Guellermo and Turk, this girl will sure to be turning heads for many years to come.

Bon Cocoa

Cocoa is another very lovely junior black female to arrive at Ring Ranch this summer. Cocoa has an outstanding beautiful head, superb conformation and attractive bay black coloring. She earned herself a 2nd Place ribbon in her only show at the Keystone Alpaca Classic 2008 for junior black females. She finished runner up to our Neville Lake's Mekayla.

Vintage Paheko

Paheko has been a consistent top placer in all his shows to date. His most recent 2nd Place finish at the Canadian National Alpaca Sale and Futurity was impressive in a large class of white junior males. This BR Cash son is loaded with impressive pedigree including Peruvian Hemingway, Ivano and Victor's Vaccoyo. Paheko is now standing stud at Ring Ranch and is an exclusive herdsire with no outside breedings available at this time. He has already successfully settled his first group of females at just two years of age.

Amber Aleeka

We are delighted to have purchased this exceptionally fine bay black daughter of Bonanza at this year's Canadian National Alpaca Sale and Futurity. Aleeka has given birth to a stand out, very impressive, dark rose grey "Turk" boy earlier this spring. Aleeka will be a major addition to our black and grey breeding program.
